A clearer project Home page
A contractor told us the project Home page felt like a lot to take in. There was a lot to do on every job, and the page showed it all at the same size. So we rebuilt it around one idea: the next thing to do should be the first thing you see.
What changes
When you open a job, Home now shows, from the top:
- The next step. One big card with the one thing worth doing now, like Answer Biddy's 6 questions, and its orange button. That's the only orange button on the page, so you always know what to press. The journey bar sits on top of it and shows where the job is. Finished stages turn tan with a check, and the one you're in is outlined.
- Also open. Beside the next step, anything else holding the job up gets its own row with a tap straight to where you fix it. For example: a client with no email yet (you'll need one to send the proposal), a failed payment or an overdue invoice.
- The job at a glance. One row of figures: the bid, money collected, tasks done, rooms captured and your client. Anything that only exists after signing says After signing instead of taking up a whole card.
- Your showcase collection. All nine badges for the job get their own row. They stay faded until you collect one, then light up with a green check. Tap a badge to add one.
- Missions and recent activity sit at the bottom.
Color that means something
The seven buttons along the top keep their colored icons, and each color now means the same section everywhere on the page. The Capture color on the Capture button is the Capture color next to Job site and next to anything in Also open that sends you to Capture.
The Home button no longer turns orange when you're on it. It lifts and gets an underline instead, so the orange stays on the button that moves the job forward. The + Quick add button stays purple, because that's the one to reach for when you need to drop something in fast.
