Your measurement corrections actually save now

Your measurement corrections actually save now

If you've ever told Biddy "Room 2 is a 3-wall tub surround, not all four walls" and walked away thinking the fix landed — and then saw the same wrong number staring back at you next time you opened the project — that bug is dead. A few related improvements rode along with the fix.

Corrections don't disappear into a category-setup loop anymore. The old failure: when the project type wasn't set yet, Biddy would get stuck asking you to set the type before it could touch measurements, then sometimes ask again, and the actual measurement write never fired. Now Biddy sees the current project type at the start of every turn, never re-proposes a type that's already set, and goes straight to a measurement confirmation card when you tell it what's wrong. Confirm, and the override saves — period.

Video narration is captured automatically. Talk while you walk the bathroom — "back wall is 5 by 8, tub is 5 foot wide, 79 inches tall" — and BidCraft transcribes the audio in the background and adds it as a voice note on the project. Your stated dimensions become the highest-priority source for synthesis. This works on any video you upload to a room, not just dedicated walkthroughs. If a video has no narration (or the audio couldn't be read), you'll see a small no narration detected marker so you know to drop a separate voice note.

Tub surrounds default to a 3-wall layout. In bathrooms with an alcove tub, the AI now defaults the tiled wall area to a 3-wall surround (back wall plus the two end walls, ~60–72" above the tub) instead of assuming all four walls go full height. Typical tile-wall area lands around 60–100 sqft per bathroom, not 200+. If a job actually tiles every wall to the ceiling, say so in a note and the AI follows your lead.

Locked scope without a proposal isn't a dead end anymore. Once in a blue moon a proposal build fails mid-flight (network glitch, timeout) and the project ends up with scope locked but no proposal generated. The project page now shows an Unlock scope & edit button that drops you straight back into Scope Review with your draft intact — no menu-digging, no starting over.

If you've been wrestling with Biddy on a project, give it another go with these fixes in place. And as always, if something still doesn't behave the way you expect, tap the lightbulb in the Biddy chat header to flag it — we read every report.
