Biddy stays sharp in long conversations
If you've ever had a long back-and-forth with Biddy on a single project — adjusting pricing, swapping line items, asking why something costs what it does — you may have noticed it would sometimes "forget" decisions you'd made earlier in the same chat. Your day rate, a pricing rule, a specific instruction you gave 20 messages ago. Suddenly Biddy was acting like it had never heard of them.
That's fixed.
What changed
Biddy now automatically summarizes the older parts of a long conversation as it goes. The summary preserves the load-bearing stuff:
- Numbers you've shared — day rates, multipliers, percentages
- Pricing rules you stated
- Decisions you confirmed or rejected
- Open follow-ups Biddy committed to handle
- The current topic you're on
It throws away the chitchat ("got it, thanks", "okay let's keep going") that takes up space without carrying any meaning.
What you'll notice
You can have an hour-long working session with Biddy on a single proposal and it won't lose track. Day rates and multipliers from earlier in the chat keep applying to later questions. Rules you mentioned stay active.
If you scroll back, you'll still see the full message history — the summarization happens behind the scenes and doesn't hide anything from you. Biddy just stops needing to re-read every old message to stay accurate.
[!tip] If you want a completely fresh start at any point, you can hit the trash icon in the Biddy header to clear the conversation. The audit trail stays, but Biddy starts from scratch.
This pairs nicely with the saved-rules feature we shipped a couple of days ago — anything you tell Biddy to remember permanently lives in your pricing rules, while the in-conversation memory handles the back-and-forth of a single working session.
