Tell the AI when a template line already includes sub-scopes

A common frustration — generating a proposal and seeing a separate "Waterproofing" line item show up even though your Tile Install line already covers it. New "Bundles" tags on every template line let you tell the AI which sub-scopes are intentionally folded in, so it stops splitting your bundled work into its own cost lines.

Tell the AI when a template line already includes sub-scopes

If you've ever generated a proposal and seen a stray "Waterproofing" line item appear when your Tile Install line already covered it — or a "Substrate Prep" line on a project where you'd folded prep into demo — this is for you.

Every template line now has a small Bundles picker that tells the AI which sub-scopes that single line covers. Tag your Shower Remodel's tile install line with waterproofing, substrate prep, grout, and the AI won't try to split those out into separate line items on the proposal. No more double-charging. No more lines you have to manually delete every time.

How to use it

On your project template page, every line shows a row of small chips below the title and pricing pills. Tap + Bundle a sub-scope and either pick from the suggested list (waterproofing, substrate prep, demo, edge trim, grout, sealing, plumbing rough-in, and more) or type your own. The tags save instantly.

The AI reads these tags at proposal-build time. When a tagged line shows up in your locked scope, the AI is told explicitly: "Don't add separate cost lines for these sub-scopes. Don't list them as exclusions. The contractor folded them in — the line's price already covers them."

Why this matters

Templates are how you tell BidCraft how you bid. The granularity choice — bundling vs itemizing — is your judgment, not the AI's. Before today, that judgment lived only in the scope blurb you wrote, and the AI sometimes missed it. Now it's a real signal the AI can't talk itself out of reading.

If you bundle a lot — one line for "Full Shower Install" that covers demo + waterproofing + tile + grout + accessories — tag generously. If you itemize, you can skip the tags entirely and lines stay independent. The picker fits the way you work, either direction.
