Three things that quietly wasted your time
None of these were features. All three were us not doing our job. Here's what changed.
"View original proposal" actually opens the original proposal
At the bottom of every change order your homeowner receives, there's a View original proposal link — so they can pull up the deal they already signed and see exactly what's changing against it.
That link was broken. Every change order, since we shipped them. Tapping it landed on "Proposal Unavailable — this proposal could not be found." Which is a rough thing for a homeowner to hit while they're deciding whether to sign for more money.
It works now, and it works on change orders you already sent. Nothing to resend, nothing to redo — old change orders started resolving the moment this went out. If the original was revoked or deleted, the link is simply hidden instead of taking anybody to a dead end.
Copy buttons say whether they copied
Copy Link used to be a coin flip. Sometimes it copied. Sometimes your phone refused and the button just sat there looking like nothing happened — so you'd tap it again, paste into a text, and send your client whatever was on your clipboard from twenty minutes ago.
Now every copy button reports back:
- It worked → the button flips to Copied!
- Your phone blocked the clipboard → your share sheet opens instead, and you send the link straight from there
- Both blocked → the link appears on screen so you can press and hold to copy it by hand
This shows up everywhere a link gets copied: the Share Link menu, each row of your proposal tracking timeline, and the banner after Get Shareable Link. That banner used to announce "Link copied" whether or not anything was copied. It doesn't lie anymore.
If you use BidCraft from your home screen on an iPhone, this is the one you'll feel. That's where the clipboard gets blocked most.
Always a way back out of a client link
Tap View on a share link from inside the app and you're looking at the homeowner's page — no tabs, no address bar, no back button. Getting home meant force-quitting the app.
Now there's a banner at the top of that page with Back to project on it. It's there on proposals, on change orders, and even when you open a link that's been revoked or expired. One tap and you're back where you were.
Your client never sees any of it. Their page looks exactly the same as it did yesterday.
