If you asked Biddy to create a change order, then asked again — because you wanted to look it over first, or the total didn't feel right — the second confirm didn't create a second draft. It added every line to the draft you already had. Confirm three times and an $8,700 change order read $26,100.
That's fixed.
What changed
- Biddy knows when a draft already exists. Ask for the change order again and Biddy tells you Change Order #1 is already drafted, what it's worth, and where to open it — it doesn't rebuild it.
- Re-confirming the same changes is safe. If a line is already in the draft at the same price and quantity, confirming it again does nothing. You'll see "already has those changes — nothing was added a second time."
- New lines still add. Say "also add a $150 silicone line" and only that line lands on the draft. Biddy tells you how many it added and how many it skipped.
If you already hit this
Open the change order from the Change Orders section on the project page and delete the duplicate lines in the builder before you send it. Anything the homeowner has already signed is unaffected — this only ever touched unsent drafts.
