A cleaner signup, and Biddy knows more about your shop from day one
The old signup was a single dense form on a flat dark page. New contractors filled in five fields, hit Create Account, and dropped into the app cold — Biddy didn't know whether you ran a one-truck shop or a 20-person crew until she dug it out of you in the pricing interview.
What changed
Signup is now a 4-slide carousel on a marble background:
- Account — name, email, phone, business name, password. Same fields, just easier on the eyes.
- About your shop — company size, where you're based, roughly how many deals per month.
- What would help you most — pick one outcome (faster proposals, more accurate estimates, win more deals, organize the business, or free up your time).
- How you heard about us — quick referral question.
Slides 2–4 are skippable — there's a small "Skip for now" link on each. The whole thing takes about a minute if you fill it out.
Why we ask
The two big ones are deals per month and what you want most. Biddy uses both to pick how she talks to you and what she suggests next. If you said your top priority is faster proposals, the dashboard greeting will lead with that — "let's get you cranking out bids fast" — instead of generic copy. The shop size and location help her sound aware: she's not going to walk you through team setup if you said you're solo, and she'll know your local market when discussing pricing.
The referral source is just for us to know which channels are working. You'll see it on your Company Profile but you don't need to do anything with it.
You can change anything later
Everything you answered is editable from Office → Company Profile under the new About your business section. Skipped a slide? Same place — you can fill it in any time.
[!note] Already had an account before today? Nothing changed for you. The new survey fields only apply to fresh signups; your Company Profile shows the new section with empty slots you can fill in if you want.
