Your day is now the number that counts
Until now, BidCraft only knew about time you spent on a job. Which meant the hour driving to the supply house, the run to the dump, and the forty minutes loading the truck in the shop were invisible. Real work, no hours.
There's a day clock now.
- Start my day sits at the top of the Today screen. One tap and you're on the clock.
- Forget to tap it? Doesn't matter. Clocking into a project or a task starts your day for you.
- Clock out of a project no longer ends your day. That's the whole point — you're still working, you're just between sites.
- End day is the one that stops everything. If a project or task is still running underneath, it closes those too.
What your timesheet looks like now
A day's total is the hours you were on the clock. The projects under it show where those hours went — the breakdown, not extra time stacked on top. (If you ever wondered why a day showed more hours than you actually worked when you were clocked into a project and a task at the same time: that was why. It's fixed.)
Anything you were on the clock for but not on a job shows up on its own line: Unallocated. Drive, shop, dump, waiting on a delivery. Still hours worked, just not attached to a job.
If that number ever looks bigger than it should, it usually means somebody got to the site and forgot to clock into the project.
[!note] Old weeks are untouched. Any day without a day clock is totalled exactly the way it always was, from project and task time. When a week has some of each, you'll see a one-line note under the day rows.
For owners and admins
The review queue picks all of this up automatically — same day-by-day breakdown, now with the Unallocated line where it applies. Approved weeks stay locked at whatever total they were approved at.
Nothing to turn on. Open the app tomorrow morning and tap Start my day.
