Each room prices with its own tile
On a whole-house job, the Primary Bath might be a herringbone marble floor and the laundry a plain straight-lay porcelain. Until now, a floor line for one room read every floor in the house, so both rooms were priced at the same blended multiplier.
What changed
- A line for one room prices that room. The Primary Bath floor line uses the Primary Bath's finishes, and the laundry line uses the laundry's. Crew days follow the same rule.
- Lines that span rooms still blend them. A line like floor tile, all bathrooms blends the rooms it covers, by area, the same as before.
- Picking surfaces is per room. When you choose which surfaces a line covers on the Bid page, ticking the floor under one room covers that room's floor only.
Existing lines pick this up the next time you draft or build: a line whose title names one room is matched to that room.
