Every material gets a page
Your materials library has been a table. A name, a part number, a cost, and a row of small chips. Meanwhile BidCraft knew a fair amount more about each of those products — what the manufacturer says it's for, what it's rated at, what you've paid for it over eighteen months, which of your services reach for it — and none of it had anywhere to go.
Now it does. Tap a material's name on the Materials page.
The photo
Tap Add photo and use one off your phone. It takes about four seconds and it changes how the list reads: a shelf of identical grey bags stops being a wall of part numbers and starts being things you recognize. The thumbnail shows up back on the list too.
If the product came out of a manufacturer's catalog and they've published a picture, you already have one — nothing to do.
Your cost, next to their price
Three numbers across the top: what it costs you, your markup, what that charges out at. Beside them, the supplier's published price.
Two prices side by side answer a question a table never could. If you're buying under the list price it says by how much — 18% under the supplier's price — and if you aren't, that's worth knowing before you renegotiate. Click any number to change it.
What it actually is
The manufacturer's description, and the specs that matter on a jobsite: size, PEI wear rating, slip rating, what it's approved for, how it's sold ("Sold per sheet · covers 0.97 sqft"). Not every field we happen to store — the handful you'd actually check.
Write your own description over the manufacturer's whenever theirs is marketing and yours would be useful. Clear it and theirs comes back.
Every price you've ever paid
The full run, newest first, with the supplier, the date, where the number came from, and an arrow when it moved. It's the answer to "is this getting more expensive or does it just feel that way," and it built itself out of receipts you were already photographing.
Under it: every item number your suppliers use for this product, so you know what to say at the counter.
Where it turns up
What's on your shelf right now, which material groups this is your go-to for, and which of your services pull it in when a proposal gets built. Tap any of those services to go straight to its materials list.
Sections with nothing to say don't show up at all. A custom product you typed in this morning is two cards, not six empty ones.
Also new: tell us where you buy
There's a Where you buy panel in the Materials page's Settings (the gear button at the top). Set your usual supplier, and add exceptions by category — tile from the tile dealer, everything else from the supply house.
Three things get less annoying: the price-list import screen fills in your supplier for you, a material with no supplier of its own tells you what it falls back to, and the bulk-buy nudge on the Inventory tab names who to call instead of vaguely suggesting you call someone.
Also new: your dealer's catalog in your search
Schluter and Laticrete come built in. What's never been in there is the price list your tile dealer handed you — the hundreds of pages of series and item codes and sizes that most of your actual orders come from.
We can load one for you. Once it's in, that whole range shows up in search alongside everything else, Biddy can answer from it, and receipts from that dealer match against their real item codes instead of guessing off a description. Your library stays the short list of what you actually buy — nothing joins it until you use it.
A dealer price list is loaded for your business only. Nobody else can see it or the prices in it. Ask us if you'd like yours in.
