An expanded guided tour with a real sample project

An expanded guided tour with a real sample project

We rebuilt the first-time tour from the ground up. Three big changes:

It actually shows you how the app works. The old tour pointed at the dashboard and the projects page and called it a day. The new one walks the catalog, drops a real sample project in your account ("Maple St. Bathroom Remodel" — fully scoped, priced, with materials), and hands you off to the pricing interview at the end. About 8 minutes if you do the whole thing.

Catalog first, then projects, then pricing. This isn't random. The catalog is the knowledge base every proposal pulls from. Project tour second because that's where the catalog gets applied. Pricing last because that's where you tune the numbers. Ingredients → dish → seasoning.

Pause and replay are first-class. Every step has an "I'll come back later" button. Tap it and Biddy closes — but a small dot on the floating pill reminds you to come back. Tap the pill anytime and the tour picks up exactly where you left off. There's also a replay button in the Biddy chat header for whenever you want to do it again.

A few smaller touches:

  • Sample project pill. Your sample project shows up in Projects with a yellow "Sample" badge so you don't mix it up with real work.
  • Delete sample any time. Open the sample project's Actions menu and pick Delete sample project — Biddy reassures you with friendly copy because it's just a demo, you can have it seeded again.
  • Interactive steps. Some steps wait for you to actually click the thing rather than narrating it. Biddy collapses to the pill, a small bubble points at the button, and the tour auto-advances when you tap.

If you've already finished onboarding and want to see what's new, tap the replay arrow in the Biddy chat header.
