Biddy is clear about materials costs, and big jobs measure right

Materials costs you give Biddy now stick and never quietly change your price, and projects with more than one bathroom no longer double-count square footage.

Biddy is clear about materials costs, and big jobs measure right

Materials costs you give Biddy

When you told Biddy what the materials on a line cost, it said the line was updated — but your price didn't move, and the number could vanish the next time your materials list refreshed.

Now:

  • The materials cost you give Biddy stays put, just like one you type in Costs & Materials.
  • Biddy's confirmation says it in plain dollars: "Recorded $1,000 materials cost — that's your cost only; the client price is still $1,200."
  • Want the client charged for those materials? Say so, and the confirmation card shows the new line price before anything saves. If Biddy can't tell whether your price already covers them, it asks.

Nothing about how BidCraft prices a line has changed — a materials cost only raises your price when you say it should.

Two bathrooms, measured once

On bigger jobs — two bathrooms in one project, for example — the room analysis could run out of room partway through. When that happened, each bathroom could get counted twice, so wall tile and shower pans came out roughly doubled.

The analysis now has plenty of room to finish. In the rare case it still can't, you'll see a message asking you to try again, and nothing on your project changes. If a past project's square footage looks about double what you measured, hit Re-analyze on the room and the duplicate rooms clear out.
