Bulk markups by voice, stock from the material page, and a tidier Materials page
A round of Materials improvements, straight from contractor feedback.
Tell Biddy to mark things up — or change anything on a material
Open Biddy on the Materials page and say what you want: "mark up all waterproofing materials by 10%", "set everything from Schluter to 15%", "raise my tile dealer's stuff by 5 points". Biddy finds the matching materials, tells you exactly how many the change touches, and shows a confirmation card — nothing moves until you approve it. It can filter by category, manufacturer, supplier, or your whole library.
Single materials too: "set DITRA's cost to $180", "make that my favorite", "move it to the waterproofing category", "its supplier is the tile dealer". Same deal — Biddy proposes, you approve.
Update stock without leaving the material
Every material's On the job section now has stock controls: + Add, − Remove, and Set exact total, right next to the on-hand count and when it last moved. Bought extra? Three bags came back off the truck? Log it where you're already standing — it lands in the same inventory ledger the Inventory tab uses.
Settings get their own home
Where you buy and your default cost basis moved off the top of the Materials page into a Settings button in the header (the gear). Same settings, less scrolling to reach your actual materials.
The list reads better
The materials spreadsheet has proper row AND column lines now, same as Services, and the category pills are readable in every theme (no more blue-on-blue). On phones, the cards fit the screen the way they always should have, and an open material shows a plain ← Back to materials instead of stacking another "full page" on a screen that's already full. And the whole Catalog hub — Project Templates included — is now one tab strip, so you can hop between Templates, Services, Materials, Inventory, and Find Products from any of them, on any device.
Fix a material's identity on its page
Every material page has an Edit details button at the top of the card — change the SKU, manufacturer, or category right there, no trip back to the list's edit row. Underneath, the details read as labeled fields (Category · Source · Manufacturer · SKU) instead of a row of chips, so a blank one is visible instead of just missing.
Coverage is yours now too. That "covers 0.97 sqft" line is what BidCraft divides a room's measurement by to work out how many to buy — and the page now says where the number came from and lets you override it when a catalog figure doesn't match your real yield.
And the supplier list isn't a closed list. Pick + Add a supplier… in Usual supplier, type the name, done — saved for the whole company, and their receipts start matching immediately.
Services got their colours
Every service category used to be the same grey chip. Showers read blue, floors amber, demo red, trades their own — so you can pick the shower work out of a long list without reading every row.
The starter kit asks first
New accounts used to get ~30 starter materials pre-loaded. Now your library starts empty and offers the kit as a choice — one tap installs it, costs pre-filled from your default cost basis, and you prune from there. Deleted the old auto-loaded kit and want it back? The install button will genuinely reinstall it.
