The Materials page reads like a spreadsheet now
The Materials list used to pack everything about a product into one crowded cell. Now it reads the way you'd lay it out yourself: a column for the category, one for where it came from (a catalog product or one you typed in), the SKU, your cost, your markup, and — new — what that charges out at, worked out for you from the cost and markup you've set.
On a phone, the cards carry the same category and source chips, so the two layouts never tell you different stories about a material.
Tap a row, get the whole material
Tap anywhere on a row and the material opens in a preview panel beside the list — photo, price story, specs, buying history, notes, the works. On a wide screen the list stays right where it is and just narrows to make room; tap the next row and the preview swaps over to it, so checking prices across ten materials is ten taps, not ten page loads.
On a phone it opens full-screen instead, and your phone's Back button closes it — you never lose your place in the list.
Open full page in the preview header still gives the material its own page you can bookmark or open in a new tab, and the Edit button on the row still does the quick inline pass it always did.
Working in the preview and the list at the same time is safe, too — save a change in the panel and the row updates; edit the row and the numbers in the panel catch up. They can't disagree.
If you're on the team without edit permissions, the preview works for you too — you get the whole story, minus the editing.
