Niches in notes count too — and Draft Scope is faster
Two improvements to the gap card.
Niches and corners are extracted from notes
If you mention a niche in a voice or text note, the gap card stops asking about it. Same for inside or outside corners on jogged walls.
- "There's a 12x14 niche in the back wall" → BidCraft records: 1 niche
- "Two shower niches, one over the bench" → BidCraft records: 2 niches
- "No niches needed, just the bench" → BidCraft records: 0 niches (the gap card skips the question)
- "One inside corner where the wall jogs at the vanity" → BidCraft records: 1 inside corner
The Project Totals card on your project page shows everything that was extracted. If something looks wrong, click into the card and edit it.
First Draft Scope click is faster on notes-only projects
The moment you save a voice or text note, BidCraft starts analyzing it in the background. By the time you click Draft Scope, the answer is usually already waiting — so the click feels instant instead of the 5-15 second wait you used to get.
If you edit a note, the analysis re-runs automatically. If you delete a note, no re-analysis is needed.
Photos still work the same way — photo group analysis kicks off when you upload, and it keeps populating dimensions for the gap card and Project Totals card. Notes now get the same background-analysis treatment.
