Your plans card moved to the top, and the sheets zoom

The three-step card now leads your rooms instead of hiding under them, step three says what your part is, every quick check says why it's asking, and any sheet you tap opens big enough to actually read.

Your plans card moved to the top, and the sheets zoom

Three changes to reading a builder's package, all from one thing: after the rooms turned up, it wasn't clear what you were meant to do with them.

The card leads now

Drop a drawing set in and the three-step card used to sit under the rooms it made. On a twenty-one room job that's a long way down — a set of instructions you only find by scrolling past the thing they're instructions for.

It sits at the top of your Inputs section now, above room one, so the state of the read is the first thing you see.

Two steps are Biddy's. The third one is yours

The steps say who's doing what:

  • Biddy is reading your plans — Sheet 12 of 37 while it works, then 3 floor plans + 1 schedule · 48 rooms found.
  • Biddy is reading the tile schedule — then Biddy matched the tile schedule · 21 rooms · 15 lined up with the plans.
  • Your turn — check the rooms.

That third one used to say "Rooms & quick checks", which named a thing rather than asking you to do something. Now it says what your part actually is:

Look through each room below — its name, and the note that says what tile goes where. Fix anything that's off and add what you know (a room the schedule missed, a shower that's actually a tub). When they look right, head to measurements & scope.

The button says Rooms look right → measurements, so it's clear what you're agreeing to when you press it. And when you get there, the checks open by telling you where they came from instead of starting straight in on question one.

Every question says why it's asking

The line explaining a quick check used to sit under the buttons in small grey text, which is where nobody looks. It's above the answers now, in words you can read, and it says what actually happened:

The schedule lists "Laundry Room" — the plans have 3 rooms that could be it (108 Laundry / Storage on the 1st floor, 205 Laundry and 219 on the 2nd floor). Tap the one that gets this tile.

The schedule has this line marked HOLD, which means the builder hasn't settled the product yet. Bidding it prices what's listed today; leaving it out keeps it off the quote until they decide.

The pictures open, and they zoom

On a "which room is this?" check there's a picture beside each room you're choosing between. Tapping one used to just pick that room — you couldn't look at it first. Now the picture opens it and the name picks it: two taps, two different jobs, and looking never picks something by accident. Look for the ⤢ in the corner.

And once a sheet is open, you can get in close. Pinch on a phone, scroll or double-click on a computer, + and − if you'd rather, drag to move around, Fit to see the whole thing again. The outline stays on the spot it's marking however far in you go.

That last part matters more than it sounds. A full-size architectural sheet shrunk to fit a phone is a grey smudge, and a smudge with a box drawn on it is still a smudge. Now you can read the room number.
