Proposal Settings is now a page of cards you tap to open

Proposal Settings uses the full screen, shows each setting as a card with what is saved on it, and every card saves on its own. One price choice, one line-detail choice, payment quick picks, a logo switch with a preview — and no more presets or tone picker: your voice comes from your own proposals.

Proposal Settings is now a page of cards you tap to open

Proposal Settings used to be one long page you scrolled through, with a Save button at the bottom. It's been rebuilt so you can see everything at a glance and change one thing without hunting for it.

Nothing about your saved settings changed. Everything carries over exactly as you left it.

What's different

  • It's a page of cards. Go to Catalog → Proposal Settings and every setting sits on a card with a one-line summary of what's saved. The page uses the full width of your screen, and a setup meter up top tells you how many of the nine cards are done. Anything still missing is marked Set up.
  • Tap a card to open it. On a computer it slides in from the right; on a phone it fills the screen. Each card has its own Save and Cancel, so there's no page-wide save to forget. Close one with unsaved changes and it asks before throwing them away.
  • Grouped the way you think. This style (writing style, layout and pricing, payment schedule), Every style (branding, terms, discounts, expiration), and Getting paid (delivery, invoices and receipts).

No more presets — and your voice comes from your own proposals

  • The Concise / Detailed / Itemized presets are gone. Picking one used to change a pile of settings at once. Now each setting lives on its own card, so you change exactly the thing you mean to.
  • The Tone setting is gone too. Formal, professional or conversational never really said how you write. The Writing & tone card is now Writing style, and your voice lives in its Additional style rules.
  • Upload a past proposal and BidCraft learns your voice. It picks up whether you write as "we", how you speak to your client, how long your sentences run, the phrases you always use, and how you open and sign off — with a few of your own words quoted as examples — and keeps it in one short "voice learned" section of Additional style rules, refreshed each time it learns rather than piling up. Anything you write outside that section is never touched. Until it has learned anything, proposals are written clear, professional and direct.
  • Nothing you'd set changed. Your line detail, scope, layout, pricing and payment schedule are exactly as you left them.

Simpler choices inside

  • Prices your client sees is one choice now: a price on every line, one price per room, or the total only. It replaces the two price checkboxes that used to flip each other.
  • Line breakdown is one choice too: one line per room, per kind of work, or per component. It replaces the two settings that both tried to decide how finely the work was cut.
  • Payment schedule has quick picks — 50 / 50, Thirds, All on completion, or Custom — with example amounts showing what each payment comes to on a $10,000 job.
  • Logo size is a Small / Medium / Large switch with a live preview of your proposal header.

Biddy opens them for you

Biddy's proposal-settings walkthrough now opens the Payment schedule card and then the Layout & pricing card for you, and points right at the choices that matter.
