A smoother first day
A handful of fixes to the first ten minutes in BidCraft, mostly for new members but a few you'll notice too.
What changes
- The dashboard greets you properly. Your first visit says Welcome, Dana. and after that it's Welcome back, Dana. If you joined through checkout, we fill in your name from the card you paid with. Change it any time on Office → My Profile.
- The welcome tour tells it straight. It says up front that it takes about 4 minutes (bail out any time), and it ends on three buttons: Set my pricing, Power up my catalog and Create my first project.
- Power up my catalog goes somewhere. It opens Catalog → Project Templates, where you can install starter templates, generate one, or upload a past proposal. Before, it didn't do anything.
- Forms behave on a phone. Typing in the signup, login, set-password and new-project forms no longer zooms the page on an iPhone. Your password manager now offers to save your login when you set your password, and the Back and Skip buttons in signup are easier to hit with a thumb.
- New project tells you when something goes wrong. If a project can't be created, you see why, right above the button, and everything you typed stays put.
- The "pick up where you left off" bubble no longer sits on top of the Biddy button on a phone, and it doesn't show a step's internal name any more.
- The link to your multipliers works. A task that sends you to check your pricing multipliers now scrolls straight to them on the Pricing Strategy page.
