Who supplies the tile — now a per-job answer
You already told us once whether you buy the tile or the client does. That setting lives on your Pricing Strategy page and it's been driving your pricing since you set it.
Problem is, nobody works one way all the time. A builder hands you a pallet of porcelain and asks for labor only. The next homeowner wants you to pick everything and put it on the invoice. Until now, switching between those meant going into your pricing settings, flipping the toggle, building the proposal, and remembering to flip it back — and if you forgot, the next three bids were wrong.
Set it on the job
Open a project, go to Costs & Materials, and there's a Tile supplied by picker right in the section header:
- Org default — whatever your Pricing Strategy says. The picker spells out which way that is, so you never have to go look.
- Me — you're supplying the tile on this one.
- Client / builder — they are.
Pick one and rebuild the proposal. Your org-wide setting doesn't move, so the next job starts from your normal default. Owners and admins only.
Or just one material
Sometimes it's not the whole job — they fell in love with an accent mosaic and bought it themselves, but the field tile is still yours. Tap any row in the materials list and tick Client supplies this one.
The row stays on your list so nobody shows up to the job without it. Its cost goes to $0 on your side and drops out of your cost totals. The number that was there gets parked in the row's notes, so if the plan changes you can see what you had.
And the thing that was quietly wrong
If you'd told BidCraft you do supply the tile, your proposals were still being built under an instruction that said to assume the client supplies it and to leave tile out of the materials cost. Two rules pointing opposite directions, and which one won came down to luck.
That's fixed. Whatever you've set — org-wide or on the job — is what BidCraft prices to now. If your proposals have been coming back light on materials, rebuild one and take a look.
