A dashboard that picks up where you left off
Most of the time you open BidCraft to get back to a job you were already working on. The dashboard now starts there.
What changes
- Your last three jobs are at the top. They're the three you opened most recently, newest first. Each one shows its next step, the same one you'd see on the job's Home tab. Continue takes you straight back in. A job that's signed, or paid and underway, gets a Receipt button on its card so you can log an expense without opening the job. On a phone, the second and third jobs are short rows without that button; Snap a receipt covers those. Finished and lost jobs drop off unless you opened them today, and a client opening or signing a proposal doesn't shuffle your order.
- Start a new bid has its own card right beside them, and the + New bid button is still in the top corner.
- Find any job fast. Search by job, client or address, or tap a stage (Drafts, Ready to send, Sent, Won, Building) to see those jobs. Each stage shows its dollars and whose move it is.
- Since you were here lists what happened while you were away, up to five things: a client opened or signed a proposal, a payment came in, Biddy finished reading your plans, your crew clocked in, or someone replied to or reacted to your post in Community. When crew are clocked in, it also tells you who's on site now. Biddy finishing your plans shows up in the bell too.
- Clock in from the top of the page, and Snap a receipt is first in the quick-action bar. On your phone, Clock in leads the quick-action strip.
- Today's habits in the Guild card. If your shop has the Guild turned on, clocking in for the day earns 10 XP and saying something in Community earns 5 XP, once a day each. Snapping a receipt still earns its 5 XP like before. The Community habit only shows when your shop has Community.
- My tasks shows your setup steps and the tasks someone created or assigned to you, so it stays short. When there's nothing to show, it steps out of the way.
What went away
The colored pipeline bar, Needs you, On the job today and the Schedule card are gone from the dashboard. Your stage counts live in the Projects card now, and Calendar is still in the menu. The Guild's goal tabs and badge rings moved off the dashboard, but they're all still on the Guild page.
First time you see it
Biddy points out the new layout once, in three short bubbles. Tap Got it on the first two and Done on the last, or ignore them.
