Biddy edits project templates — and stops dragging you back to old tours
Two things got a lot smoother about talking to Biddy.
Rework a template by describing it
Open any of your Project Templates (Catalog → Project Templates, then pick one) and pop open Biddy. It now knows exactly which template you're looking at — every line, in order — and it can change it for you:
- "Add a line for glass door install after the tile line" — done.
- "Merge demo and haul-away into one line" — done, materials and tasks come along.
- "Split waterproofing out of the tile install line" — done.
- "Rename that to Demolition" — done.
- "Redo the whole thing — I want 4 lines: demo, backer + waterproofing, tile, grout and cleanup" — Biddy rebuilds the layout from your description.
- "Start over from the BidCraft default" — resets it, with your old version saved in template history.
Every change shows you a confirmation card first — nothing touches your template until you approve it. Template edits are for owners and admins.
One note: the materials and tasks inside a line are still edited on the page itself — Biddy handles the line structure.
Unfinished tours wait for you now
If you closed Biddy partway through a tour, reopening it used to jump you right back in — navigating you to the dashboard and highlighting things you didn't ask about. Not anymore. Now you'll see a small message with two buttons: Resume the tour picks up exactly where you left off, End the tour closes it out for good. Your call.
Biddy stays where you are
Biddy also got better about staying put: opening it on pages like Tasks or Contacts no longer surfaces your old dashboard conversation. You get a fresh, general-purpose Biddy there that can answer questions and walk you to the right page — and it'll tell you when something (like a proposal edit) needs Biddy opened on that specific page.
