Biddy can now reshape your project templates
Four new tools on the Biddy project-template context let her propose template mutations with a visual diff card. You confirm or reject — nothing applies until you tap Confirm.
The four tools
- Rebuild template — "I want just three lines on a Tub-to-Shower: demo, build the shower, cleanup." Biddy drafts the new line list (homeowner-readable titles + scope blurbs) and shows you the proposed structure before anything is written. Heavy hammer — the existing materials and tasks get wiped along with the lines.
- Merge lines — "merge the backer board line into the install line." Biddy picks the target title, unions and dedupes the materials and tasks from all source lines, and shows you what's being combined.
- Remove a line — "drop the trim line, I never include it on this template." Removes the line plus its materials and tasks.
- Reset to defaults — "start this template over from the BidCraft default." Strong-warning card because it wipes every customization. The previous version is saved in the template's history before the reset applies, so it's recoverable.
When to reach for each one
For surgical edits — fixing one line, removing one specific thing — prefer merge or remove. They keep your existing customizations. Reach for rebuild when you genuinely want a fresh start on the line composition. Reset is for "I tinkered too much, give me the platform default back."
These tools also show up during Stop 3 of the pricing interview's Phase 2 — Biddy uses them to help you redesign a template's composition during the walkthrough.
