A smoother start
We reworked the first hour in BidCraft so you land ready to work instead of staring at a blank page.
Signup learns how you quote
The signup slideshow now asks two quick things: what kinds of work you do, and whether your proposals lean simple (a handful of surface-level lines) or detailed (broken out step by step). Your answers set up every starting template in your catalog to match the way you already quote — so a Shower Remodel comes out shaped like your Shower Remodel, not a generic one. It also asks whether you've got past proposals handy, so we can point you at the fastest way to make the catalog yours.
Skipped the questions? No problem — your templates default to the simple style, and you can reshape them anytime.
Three missions, not four scattered guides
Your dashboard's getting-started checklist is now three clear missions:
- Power up your catalog — teach BidCraft your line items and wording (upload a couple of past proposals, or chat with Biddy).
- Tune your pricing — the pricing interview.
- Create your first project — a real job, end to end.
They check themselves off automatically. Edit a template and "Power up your catalog" completes; finish your pricing essentials and "Tune your pricing" completes; create a real project and "Create your first project" completes. Do them in any order.
The tour got shorter
The welcome walkthrough is now a quick 90-second look around — where your missions live, your dashboard, and your sidebar — instead of a long page-by-page deep dive. The deeper "how does this page work" tips now show up right when you reach each area for the first time, so you learn things when they're useful instead of all at once.
