Building your Showcase Collection
Quickest way in: the Showcase card on a project's Home tab — nine square badges, one per kind of item you can collect on a job, three to a row, faded until you've collected that kind on this job and bright with a green check once you have. Tap a badge and the photo (or video) files against that job with no picker. Open showcase under the badges takes you to the full collection for the job; past-work photos from your back catalog are added from the + Showcase chip on the dashboard. Faded ones you haven't collected yet; bright with a green check once you have. Tap any badge, pick the job, and take or choose the photo (or video) right there. The + Showcase quick-action chip does the same for past work. View all on the card takes you to the whole collection.
Every job you finish is proof you're good at this. The Showcase Collection makes capturing that proof part of the job instead of a separate chore you never get around to — snap it while you're already on site, and it's there waiting for you the next time a lead wants to see your work.
It's also where your proposals get their photos. The Our Work section on a proposal pulls straight from here, so the same shots you collect for your own gallery go to work selling the next job.
What you can collect
Ten kinds of marketing material, each worth XP toward your Guild level:
| Collect | What it is | XP |
|---|---|---|
| 📸 Before & After Set | The matched pair — same angle, before and after | +25 per set |
| 🕰️ Before Photos | Extra day-one shots from any angle — grab them early, you can't go back for them | +5 each |
| ✨ After Photos | Extra glamour shots of the finished work | +5 each |
| 🚧 Work-in-Progress | Mid-job shots — waterproofing, layout lines, what's under the tile | +5 each |
| 🎥 Job Walkthrough | A 60-second phone video from the site | +25 |
| ⏱️ Time-lapse | A day of work compressed into 30 seconds | +25 |
| 👷 Team Photo | The crew on site | +25 |
| 😂 Something Funny | Job sites are comedy gold — capture it once | +30 (one-time) |
| ⭐ Client Review | A screenshot of the review, or a video review recorded on the spot | +50 (screenshot) · +200 (video) |
| 🏛️ Past Work photo | Jobs you finished before BidCraft, or ones you never logged here | +5 each |
A few things worth knowing about the XP:
- Photo and video categories cap at 100 XP per kind, per project — so the value is in collecting on every job, not spamming one. You can still add more than the cap; they just stop earning extra XP once you hit it.
- Something Funny is a one-time find across your whole account, not per project — it's a rare grab, not a repeatable category.
- Client Review screenshots have no cap — collect as many as you earn. A video review is the rarest catch, worth far more, and if you land both a video and a screenshot from the same client on the same job, there's a bonus on top.
- Past Work caps at 100 XP for your whole account, since these usually aren't tied to a project. Load your whole back catalog anyway — the XP is a bonus, the photos are the point.
Three ways to add
- From the job's Home tab — tap the badge for the kind of thing you've got (Before & After set, Team Photo, Client Review…) in the Showcase collection row and upload or record. It files against that job, and the badge lights up the moment it saves.
- On a project — open any project and pick Showcase Collection from the ⋯ More chip to see everything already collected on that job, with an + Add button on each category.
- Past work, in bulk — on the Showcase page, hit + Add past work. Pick as many photos as you like in one go, add tags for the whole batch, and they land in your gallery without needing a project behind them.
Either way, you can upload a file you already have or record right there on your phone — the record option opens your camera directly, no need to shoot it separately and dig through your camera roll after.
The nudge on the job feed
You don't have to go looking for what's missing. On a project's 📸 Photos feed there's a dashed gold line listing what this job's Collection still hasn't got — "✦ Showcase still wants: Before & After Set · Job Walkthrough" — and tapping it drops you straight into the Collection.
It's there because the feed is where you already are with the phone out. Crew see the same list without the link, which is the point: they're the ones who can still walk back into the room. See the job photo feed.
Load your back catalog
If you've been tiling for years, your best proof is already on your phone — it just predates BidCraft. + Add past work on the Showcase page is the on-ramp for all of it.
Do this once, early. A proposal with six photos of real bathrooms you actually tiled reads completely differently than one without, and every proposal you send from then on has something to point at.
Tags and favorites
Two small things make your photos work harder:
- Tags — label a photo with what's in it:
shower, herringbone, curbless, backsplash, heated floor. When you build a proposal, BidCraft reads the scope and pulls the photos that match, so a curbless shower job surfaces your curbless shower work. - The star — tap the star on any photo to mark it as a favorite. Favorites lead the pack on every proposal. If you've got one shower that's the best work you've ever done, star it and it goes out first every time it fits the job.
Photos you collect on a job tag themselves. BidCraft already knows what that job is — the type of work, the rooms, and the material, tile size, and pattern you put on each surface. Snap a before & after, an after shot, or a progress photo from inside a project and it lands already tagged with things like herringbone, porcelain, 12x24, niche, shower. Anything you type yourself comes first and is never replaced.
Auto-tagging only reads what's actually filled in on the job, so the more you've nailed down the measurements and finishes, the sharper the tags. It's only for the work photos — client reviews, team shots, and funny finds stay untagged.
Add tags and star a photo from the full-size viewer, or star straight from the thumbnail grid. You can also star photos from the picker while you're editing a proposal. Edit the tags on any photo and yours stick — BidCraft won't overwrite them later.
[!tip] A photo that's relevant still beats a favorite that isn't. Star your best work freely — BidCraft won't force a starred kitchen backsplash onto a shower remodel.
Browsing your collection
- The Showcase page — open Projects and tap the Showcase tab at the top. It's every before & after, walkthrough, progress shot, team photo, and review across every project, in one browsable wall. Filter by type with the chips at the top.
- On a project — the project's Showcase Collection section has a View gallery button showing everything collected on that one job together.
- Full-size viewer — tap any item, anywhere it appears, and it opens full-screen. Swipe or use the arrow buttons (or your keyboard) to move through the rest of the collection without closing the viewer.
Sharing and downloading
Every item in the full-size viewer has a Share option:
- Share to your apps — on a phone this opens your normal share sheet, so the photo or video goes straight into Instagram, Facebook, Messages, or wherever else. On desktop it copies a link instead.
- Share to Community — post it directly into the BidCraft community without leaving the app (the Tile Game channel is built for showing off finished work). Only shows up if your organization has community access turned on.
- Download — save the original file to your device.
Removing an item
Every collected item can be deleted — a trash button in the full-size viewer, or a Remove link on the item in the project's Showcase section. The file is deleted for good, not just hidden.
Who can see it
Everyone on your team — owner, admin, sales, and crew — can browse the Showcase page and every project's collection. It's read access across the board; there's nothing here that's role-restricted the way pricing or billing is.
