Every task has a Photos & notes section. Use it to document what's happening at the job site β progress shots, problems you ran into, materials you used, anything the office should see.
Add a photo
Tap π· Add photo inside a task, or the dashed + square in the Photos column of the task list β the one that looks like the empty assignee box beside it. Either way you get two choices: Take a photo (opens the camera) or Choose from device (your photo library). From the list the photo posts straight away and the square becomes a small preview with a count; add a note later from inside the task if you want one. From inside the task you can add the note before posting. The photo lands in the task's feed and anyone on the project can see it.
Comment on a photo
Tap Reply under any photo to add a comment. Anyone on the project can see and reply β great for asking the office a quick question without leaving the job site or making a phone call.
Expand a photo to see the conversation
Tap any photo to expand it. On desktop the photo fills the left side and a thread panel slides in on the right with the author, timestamp, caption, and every comment posted on the photo. On a phone the panel stacks below the photo.
A reply input is pinned to the bottom of the thread panel β type your message, hit Enter (or Send), and it lands immediately. No need to close the viewer to comment back and forth.
Tap the Γ in the top-right corner to close. Photo and comment delete actions are available right from the viewer (author or owner/admin only).
Share a photo with your client
Task photos are private to your team by default. Owners and admins can tap Share with client under a shot worth showing off β a little eye badge marks it as shared, and it lands in the client's customer portal Photos tab (grouped by day, tap-to-enlarge). Changed your mind? Tap it again to pull it back.
Want to share the whole task's photos at once? Tap Share all with client at the top of the feed β and Hide all from client to unshare them just as fast.
Crew and sales don't get the switch. A photo that's already shared says so under it, but deciding what a homeowner sees is an office call β everyone should be taking photos, not everyone should be publishing them. The same rule applies on the job photo feed.
Nothing shows up on a client's portal until somebody in the office deliberately shares it, so the messy "before we cleaned up" shots stay in-house until you say otherwise.
Delete a photo or comment
Tap the β― menu on a photo or comment you posted. If you're an owner or admin, you can delete anyone's photos or comments.
Notification dot
When someone adds a photo or comment to a task and you haven't seen it yet, a small terracotta dot appears next to the task on your work list. Open the task and the dot clears.
What the office sees
Owners and admins see the same photo feed from the All tasks view on a desktop. Comments and photo deletions sync everywhere β there's no separate office vs. crew copy.
Seeing every photo on the job at once
Task photos also appear on the project's πΈ Photos section, mixed in with the loose photos nobody tagged to a task, newest first. Comments still live on the task β the feed just shows them in one place. See the job photo feed.
