Crew now has Today, a stripped project page, and a real timesheet

Major redesign for the crew role — new Today screen, a focused project view, weekly timesheets with supervisor sign-off, and the cost variance card is now private.

Crew now has Today, a stripped project page, and a real timesheet

Crew members used to land on a dashboard built for the person setting prices — wrong audience, wrong info, wrong day. Today's drop fixes that. The whole crew experience is rebuilt around the three things crew actually do all day: clock in, finish tasks, log receipts.

A real Today screen

Open the app as a crew member and you'll land on Today instead of the owner dashboard.

What's on it:

  • Who you're clocked into right now, with elapsed time
  • The pick-a-project card when you're not clocked in yet
  • Today's tasks (and anything overdue)
  • A big + Add receipt button — pick the project, snap or speak, done
  • A This week tile showing your hours so far this week

A link at the bottom takes you to your full Tasks view if you want to see everything assigned to you across the rest of the week.

A focused project page

When a crew member taps into a project, they used to see the same monster page as the owner — scope review, proposal, cost analysis, change orders, payments, all of it.

Now they see just what they need on the job: the project name and address, a clock-in button for the project, their assigned tasks on that project, and the receipts section right there ready to upload.

The owner / admin / sales experience of the project page is unchanged.

A weekly timesheet with sign-off

There's a new Timesheet tab in the bottom bar.

It rolls up every clock-in across the week, broken down by day → project → task. Crew can step back through prior weeks, see the totals, and submit a completed week for approval at week's end. Notes are optional but useful for context ("overtime Thursday for the punch list").

For owners and admins, there's a new Timesheets entry in the sidebar that shows every submitted week awaiting review. Approve to lock in for payroll, or send it back with a note explaining what needs fixing.

The flow is built on the clock-ins that were already there — nobody has to retype anything.

Cost variance is private to who sets prices

The Predicted vs Actual card on the receipts section used to be visible to everyone, including crew. Now it shows up for owners, admins, and sales only. Crew still upload receipts; the margin and predicted budget just don't show.
