When you open BidCraft Tile as a crew member you land on your home screen: your day clock across the top, then three cards — Where you're working, Today's work, and Paperwork. On a phone they stack in that order. On a tablet or laptop they sit side by side.
It's a summary, not the whole list. The full rundown of your tasks lives on Tasks in the bottom bar — see My Day.
The top band — your day
On the left: the date, and a quiet line with your work streak and the points you've added to the shop's board this week. That line only shows if your shop has the Craftsman's Guild switched on.
On the right: your day clock.
- Start my day when you're on the clock. A live timer takes its place.
- Forget to? No problem — clocking into a project starts your day for you.
- Take a break when you're stopping for lunch. The clock pauses and the card offers Back to work — plus a one-tap way back onto the site you were on.
- End day when you're actually finished. It closes anything still running underneath it.
See Clocking in and out for the full how-to.
Where you're working
This is the card that matters most on site.
When you're clocked into a job, it shows at the top: the job name (tap it, or Open project →, to go straight to the project — see Opening a project as crew for what's on there), how long you've been on site, the task you're on, and a quick count — how many to-dos are left, how many you've finished, and your hours on that job this week. Clock out of project is right there. Your day keeps running when you use it, so the drive, the supply run and shop time still count.
Below that, every other job with work waiting. Each row shows the job, how many to-dos are on it, and whether any of them are yours:
- Clock in — you've got tasks assigned on that job.
- Jump on — nobody assigned you anything there yet, and that's fine. Tap it and you're on the job; the tasks that were up for grabs show up on your list.
Not clocked in anywhere? The list of jobs is the whole card.
Today's work
A peek at what's on the plate — anything overdue first with a red edge, then today's next few. Four rows at most.
Open My Day → takes you to the real list, where you start, end and finish tasks. See My Day for how the list is grouped and what each button does.
Paperwork
+ Add receipt is built for hardware-store moments. Tap it, pick the job, then snap a photo, record a voice note, or type in the total. The full how-to is in Logging receipts.
Under it, This week shows your hours so far and where your timesheet stands — draft, submitted, approved, or sent back for a fix. Tap it to open your full week on Time. When there's something to say about last week, that line shows too.
Working a task
Tasks are worked from My Day, not from this screen. Each card there shows the title, the job it's for, hours estimated, and status. Tap a card to open it.
- Start begins a timer and moves it from To do → In progress.
- End stops the timer but leaves the task open — clock back in later and each session is recorded separately.
- Done wraps it up, then offers to take a photo of the finished work. Worth doing.
Checking a task off adds a few points to your shop's board when the Guild's turned on. It only counts once per task.
SOPs on a task
If your contractor has attached a procedure (SOP) to a task, you'll see a 📄 icon. Tap it to open the SOP in a reader sheet — no need to leave your work view. Tap Done reading when you're back on the job.
Photos and notes
Every task has its own Photos & notes section for documenting work on site. See Photos and notes on tasks for the full how-to.
